Trinity Metro TEXRail

TEXRail is a new 27-mile commuter rail line with nine stations (seven new and two modifications to existing stations within a live track environment). This commuter line passes through downtown Fort Worth, Haltom City, North Richland Hills, Hurst, Colleyville, Southlake and Historic Downtown Grapevine into the north side of DFW International Airport (DFWIA) Terminal B. This project crosses the Trinity River and nine other bodies of water. The two existing stations, T&P and ITC stations, are shared by the Trinity Railway Express (TRE) and remained operational for the entirety of the construction phase. The stations included five parking lots, which used a total of 95,000 CY concrete, with bus bays, light poles, landscape islands, and bus shelters.

TxDOT I-35 Managed Lanes Project

STL served as the Construction Quality Acceptance Firm (Quality Assurance and Quality Control Manager and conducted all Inspection Services and Construction Materials Testing) for the first phase of a $1B highway renovation. The first phase consists of 28 miles of new service road, a bridge over Lake Lewisville, and reconstructing the center HOV lanes into managed toll lanes. STL set up a state of the art on-site laboratory to handle all testing and aspects of the project. STL also performed all acceptances for inspections, submittals, and traffic control in a role TxDOT would typically perform on a standard TxDOT project. Prime Contractor was a joint venture between Archer Western, Granite Construction, Lane (AGL).
